Postby silv3rshi3ld » Thu Nov 19, 2009 4:34 pm

Hello,

I have tried all of your download links but all of them i get an error in winrar that the archive is corrupted. Is it possible that you can upload it again or somewhere else?

Already Thx!

1) Check the MD5 to make sure it was not corrupted during download.

2) Try extracting with Peazip or 7zip. They are both free tools for archiving.

The MD5 can be found in the Download section on www.hackfromacave.com/katana.html .
MD5:
Linux: md5sum name of file
Windows: You can use WinMD5Sum and select the file.

The file IS ~5.4gig in size. Are you downloading to a FAT32 filesystem? FAT32 cannot store files of this size.

You could also try download through another browser.

Still no go,

Md5 is correct, downloaded the file, but still it wont extract everything. Did it with Winrar and 7zip. If I manually select the files within the compressed file then they extract but then i cant boot from my usb. Bios is configured and i manually select wich USB drive he has to boot. Tried at diferent computers.
Im not downloading at FAT32 because im high end user and need NTFS, My USB is formatted on FAT is that the problem?

I will try the torrent this afternoon. Hope it will work.

EDIT:

Still no go... Downloaded the torrent, and he still unpacks only the halve of the package. Weard..

So it seems you were able to extract everything okay one folder at a time.

EDIT: ANSWER: Open katana-v1.rar in WinRAR or 7zip and select each file/folder to be extracted manually.

Today my friend sent me an emails with mp3 track inside. But I couldn't extract a rar archive. I was put out. But fortunately in the Internet I noticed a next utility - how to fix a corrupt rar file. It performed my trouble for seconds and absolutely free as far as I remember. Moreover I knew how the tool effectively works with RAR archives up to 4 Gb. My friend thanked me for this tool.
