make usb bootable problem

Postby interficio » Tue Jun 22, 2010 12:29 pm

I'm trying to make the usb drive bootable but every time I try to execute the script I get

Flushing filesystem buffers, this may take a while...
Setting up MBR on /dev/sdc...
bootinst.sh: line 56: ./boot/syslinux/lilo: No such file or directory
andy@interficio:/media/katana/katana-v1.5/boot$

any ideas or help , I'm pretty freshy in nix so my skills aren't the greatest and I don't know much about it but I'm using ubuntu as of right now.

The path should not be /media/katana/katana-v1.5/boot. The "katana-v1.5" should not be there. You needed to extract the Katana RAR to the root of the USB drive without the subfolder "katana-v1.5". It should look like /media/katana/boot where "katana" is the name of the USB drive.

I also have this problem here is my results
Flushing filesystem buffers, this may take a while...
Setting up MBR on /dev/sdd...
boot/bootinst.sh: line 56: ./boot/syslinux/lilo: No such file or directory
the files are where they should be. The spelling and syntax is cut and paste so should be correct
